Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you about receiving a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers (SG / 2596) dated 13/10/1439, which pointed out that the Council received the letter from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (59986 / GS) dated 12/10/1439, on a temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, table eggs and their products and equipment from the Penza Oblast region of the Federal Republic of Russia.
It is on the basis of the information contained in the Warning Bulletin issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) No. 26969 dated 6/10/1439 (20/6/2018), which reports the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5) in this region.
The only exception of the temporary ban on poultry meat, table eggs and their products is if they are thermally treated or in any other way that can eliminate the avian influenza virus, and the certificate should be issued by the official bodies of the Republic of Russia.
This temporary ban continues until the health status of livestock is stabilized.
